At Teller County Regional Animal (TCRAS), we are dedicated to providing a safe haven for lost, abandoned, and homeless animals while helping them find their forever families. Our mission is to foster hope and new beginnings for every cat and dog that comes through our doors.
As a private 501(c)(3) non-profit based in Divide, Colorado, we serve as the only animal shelter in Teller County. Since our founding, we have grown to support hundreds of animals annually, relying on the generous support of our donors, grants, and community members who believe in the value of every life.
We operate as a limited-access shelter, which allows us to provide the medical attention, training, and patience each animal needs to thrive before finding a new home. Our dedicated team of staff and over 100 volunteers work tirelessly to ensure that every animal receives the care they deserve while they wait for their new beginning.
Adoption is a joyful partnership, and we are here to help you find the companion that best fits your lifestyle, family, and home environment. Our adoption specialists work closely with you to answer questions and ensure a smooth transition, often facilitating same-day adoptions when everything is the right fit.
We invite you to visit our shelter or the TCRAS CARE House to meet our wonderful cats and dogs currently searching for their new homes. You can explore our adoptable animals online, fill out an application, or call us at 719-686-7707 to schedule an appointment. Join us in making a difference today!
