Our Mission
Good Shepherd Humane Society is dedicated to caring for the stray, abandoned, and unwanted dogs and cats of Carroll County, Arkansas. We strive to place as many animals as possible into loving homes while promoting responsible pet ownership and humane treatment for all.
Our History and Community
Since 1974, we have proudly served the needs of our local community for over 50 years. As the only no-kill shelter in Carroll County, we operate as a vital community resource, fueled entirely by the generous donations and support of people who care about the lives of our local animals.
How We Care
We believe in providing an industry-leading standard of care for the more than 700 animals that come through our doors each year. Dogs reside in climate-controlled, double-sided runs with daily outside time and enrichment, while our cats enjoy communal rooms or individual housing for those who prefer more privacy. Our trained, professional staff ensures every animal receives consistent care and medical attention.
