Good Shepherd Humane Society is dedicated to caring for the stray, abandoned, and unwanted dogs and cats of Carroll County, Arkansas. We strive to place as many animals as possible into loving homes while promoting responsible pet ownership and humane treatment for all.
Since 1974, we have proudly served the needs of our local community for over 50 years. As the only no-kill shelter in Carroll County, we operate as a vital community resource, fueled entirely by the generous donations and support of people who care about the lives of our local animals.
We believe in providing an industry-leading standard of care for the more than 700 animals that come through our doors each year. Dogs reside in climate-controlled, double-sided runs with daily outside time and enrichment, while our cats enjoy communal rooms or individual housing for those who prefer more privacy. Our trained, professional staff ensures every animal receives consistent care and medical attention.
Our progressive adoption program is designed to create meaningful, lasting partnerships between pets and their new families. By providing vaccinated, fixed, and vetted animals, we help ensure your transition into life with a new companion is as smooth and joyful as possible. We invite you to visit us and meet the wonderful animals currently waiting for their second chance.
Whether you are looking to adopt, volunteer, or support our lifesaving programs, there are many ways to make an impact. We invite you to browse our available dogs and cats online or visit our Adoption Center in Eureka Springs to meet your perfect match today.
