At Save the Animals Foundation (STAF), we provide rescue, rehabilitation, and a safe haven for cats and dogs, helping each animal in our care find a loving, forever home. Every tail wag and gentle purr tells a story of second chances, and we are dedicated to ensuring every life counts.

Our Story

Since 1988, our team has been committed to ending the suffering of homeless cats and dogs in the Greater Cincinnati area. We operate as a no-kill sanctuary, providing a secure, compassionate environment for animals recovering from neglect or injury while they wait for their new families.

How We Operate

STAF is a 100% volunteer-run, privately funded organization, which means your support goes directly toward the health, food, and enrichment of our animals. With over 400 dedicated volunteers, we provide personalized attention, including off-site training for dogs and socialization programs for cats, ensuring our animals thrive until they are ready to join your home.

Because we prioritize these lasting connections, our adoption process involves an application and at least one follow-up visit to make sure everyone is ready for a lifetime of love.
