At the Toccoa-Stephens County Humane Shelter, our mission is to improve the lives of animals, alleviate their suffering, and elevate their status in our community. We are dedicated to safeguarding, healing, and advocating for every animal in our care, while inspiring compassion and action from neighbors like you.
Our History and Community
Established in August 2010, we are a 501c3 non-profit organization serving the Toccoa and Stephens County area. We operate through the generous support of our community, corporate donors, and local government, all working together to lower animal over-population and prevent animal abuse.
Our Care Model
We provide a safe, high-quality environment for our animals, featuring air-conditioned facilities, heated canine floors, and dedicated exercise areas. Beyond our facility, we rely on a compassionate team of volunteers and foster parents who nurture animals in need, ensuring our pets are socialized and ready for their new homes.
