Companion Animal Foundation is dedicated to raising the status of animals by decreasing pet overpopulation through compassionate spay and neuter assistance and public education. We strive to foster a deeper understanding of the unique, meaningful relationship we share with our animal companions.
Founded in 2002, our organization was born from a need to address the high rate of euthanasia for adoptable animals in Humboldt County. Since our early days, we have worked tirelessly alongside the community to transform local animal welfare, moving from thousands of euthanasias annually to a future where every animal is valued.
Our Community Adoption Center in Eureka, CA, serves as a beautiful, open temporary home for kittens and puppies. This environment allows for direct interaction, helping animals build socialization skills while prospective adopters get to know each pet’s unique personality. We also rely on a dedicated network of foster homes to provide care and support for animals before they find their forever families.
Adoption is a joyful partnership, and we are committed to helping you find the perfect match. By emphasizing education and responsible care, we ensure that both you and your new companion are set up for a lifetime of happiness. We believe that by working together, we can provide the care and love every animal deserves.
We invite you to join our community of animal lovers and help us continue this vital work. You can visit our Adoption Center in Eureka to meet our current residents, explore our volunteer opportunities, or learn about our upcoming events. Together, we can build a better future for our animals, one family at a time.
