Planned PEThood of Georgia is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to saving lives by providing innovative programs and affordable services. Our mission is simple: because rescue starts before the shelter, we focus on keeping dogs and cats healthy and families together.
For 16 years, we have been working to address the root causes of pet overpopulation throughout Metro-Atlanta and Northeast Georgia. By expanding access to affordable veterinary care, vaccinations, and spay/neuter services, we prevent suffering before it starts and help our local communities flourish.
We believe every animal deserves a soft place to land. Our adoption program relies on a dedicated network of loving foster homes where vulnerable cats and kittens are nurtured and supported until they are ready to find their permanent families. While in our care, every pet receives comprehensive medical attention, including spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations, and microchipping, ensuring they are ready to thrive in your home.
Finding the perfect companion is a joyous partnership, and we are committed to helping you make the right match for your household. Because our pets spend time in real home environments with foster parents, we can help you understand their personalities and needs before you commit. We are honored to facilitate the connection between a pet in need and a family looking for a new best friend.
Are you ready to find your purr-fect match? We invite you to view our adoptable pets on our website or visit us at one of our upcoming adoption events in Gwinnett County. Together, we can continue to provide second chances to pets who need them most.
