The Humane Society & SPCA of Hancock County is dedicated to educating the public on the responsible treatment of animals, humanely protecting those in need, and creating a quality environment for all pets in our community. A History of Compassion
Our journey began in 1888 when concerned Hancock County residents first incorporated to advocate for animal welfare. Over the decades, we have evolved from our early days at the historic Ann Rieck Memorial Shelter into a modern center for animal advocacy and care. Today, we continue to uphold that legacy by serving as a vital resource for both our human and animal neighbors.
How We Care
We operate from our dedicated adoption center at 4550 Fostoria Ave. in Findlay, where our staff and volunteers work tirelessly to provide a safe, nurturing environment for every resident. Our programs are designed to enhance the lives of our animals, from daily socialization efforts like our Pet Pal program to providing essential resources for local pet owners through our Pet Food Bank.
