Saving Grace Humane Society is dedicated to keeping pets and their people together while serving the community of Douglas County. We strive to be more than just a shelter by providing resources and care to ensure every animal has a chance at a loving life.
Who We Are
Founded on a commitment to compassion, our organization is a nationally recognized high-save shelter with an impressive 91% live release rate. We believe in building a more humane place for both people and pets by offering diverse services, including animal sheltering, subsidized spay and neuter programs, and a mobile pet food bank.
Our Care Model
We provide a comprehensive approach to animal welfare that relies on our dedicated staff and volunteers to support the animals in our care. While many of our pets thrive in a shelter environment, we also utilize a robust foster network that allows animals to stay in safe, temporary homes while they prepare for adoption. This blend of shelter and foster care ensures that each pet receives the individual attention and medical support they need to succeed.
