As an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we rely entirely on local support to operate our open-admission shelters and provide essential services. Our team works tirelessly to provide shelter, medical care, and specialized services, including our award-winning community clinic and humane law enforcement, to ensure every animal receives the attention they deserve.

5/19 - St. Bernard woman arrested in animal cruelty investigation
Authorities executed a search warrant at the property in St. Bernard and found what they described as severe animal neglect and cruelty. Investigators found about 47 dogs, including 37 inside the home and 10 outside. They also found chickens, parrots, ferrets, horses and a pony.
