Our Mission
At Rescue Garage, our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, retrain, and rehome vulnerable and at-risk dogs. We are dedicated to providing educational tools and community outreach while advocating for stable, loving pet ownership.
Our Story
Founded in 2016 and becoming a 501(c)(3) in 2017, we began as Chez Malinois to provide specialized support for Belgian Malinois working breeds. Over time, we recognized that southwest Florida needed support for all breeds, leading us to expand our services through Rescue Garage to welcome every dog in need of a second chance.
How We Care
As a volunteer-run organization, our entire team—from the Board of Directors to our dog walkers—is committed to the welfare of every animal in our care. We pull dogs from high-kill shelters and adverse living conditions, ensuring each receives medical evaluation, spay or neuter services, microchipping, and essential training. By keeping our animals in a nurturing environment, we prepare them to thrive in their future homes.

We are a Right Dog, Right Home rescue, focused on creating lasting bonds through a thoughtful matching process. By getting to know each animal's unique temperament and needs, we help ensure that every adoption is a successful, lifelong partnership.
