Humane Animal Partners is dedicated to connecting people with animals, building strong relationships that enrich our community, and preventing cruelty to animals. We believe that every pet deserves a loving environment where they can thrive alongside their human companions.
Our Story and Community
Born from the merger of the Delaware Humane Association and the Delaware SPCA, Humane Animal Partners was formed to unify our commitment to animals and maximize our impact. As the state’s first animal welfare organization with over a century of history, we continue to address the critical needs of homeless pets while providing essential resources to support local families.
How We Care for Animals
We are a 100% donation-funded, no-kill organization that provides shelter, comprehensive veterinary care, and adoption services at our three Delaware campuses. Beyond our shelter doors, we work to keep pets in their homes through low-cost wellness clinics, spay/neuter services, and a community pet food pantry, ensuring that financial barriers never stand in the way of the human-animal bond.
