Our Story
Founded in 1996 by Dr. Harold “Catman” Sims and his wife Kay, our sanctuary grew from a simple vision of a humane home for cats into the safe-for-life facility we operate today. We address a vital need in Western North Carolina by providing a haven for cats who deserve dignity, care, and a second chance at happiness.
Our Sanctuary
We provide a calm, cage-free environment featuring spacious rooms that open onto screened outdoor porches, allowing our residents to play, explore, and relax. Our small, dedicated team and volunteers work tirelessly to ensure every cat receives the socialization and medical care they need while waiting to find their forever homes.
