Jasper County Animal Shelter & Control is dedicated to providing care and finding loving forever homes for cats, kittens, dogs, and puppies in our community. We believe every animal deserves a chance to thrive in a safe and supportive environment.

Located in Rensselaer, Indiana, our facility serves as a vital resource for local animals in need of care. We are committed to transparency and the well-being of the pets entrusted to us, ensuring they receive essential medical treatments such as vaccinations and preventative care during their stay.
Our Care Process
To ensure the best outcomes, we utilize a thoughtful adoption process that includes an application and a modest adoption fee of $50.00. This fee covers the animal’s initial vaccinations, flea and tick treatment, and de-worming. Adoptions are finalized once we receive proof of spay or neuter and rabies vaccination, which can be arranged through the veterinarian of your choice.
Building Your Future Together
We invite you to find your new best friend through our Foster to Adopt program, which provides a flexible path to welcoming a pet into your home. Our team works hard to support you during this transition, ensuring you have the necessary documentation to complete your pet's medical requirements within 60 days. We believe that thoughtful matching creates the foundation for a lifelong, joyful partnership between you and your new companion.
