Peaceable Kingdom is dedicated to providing compassionate care, protection, and assistance to animals who are mistreated, injured, abandoned, or otherwise in need. We strive to create a better future for pets through community awareness, education, and accessible veterinary services.

Our Story

Founded in 1998 by a group of dedicated volunteers who opened their own homes to help cats in need, Peaceable Kingdom has grown into a vital community resource. In 2004, we established our current shelter at 1049 MacArthur Road in Whitehall, Pennsylvania, allowing us to expand our reach to dogs and cats alike. Today, thanks to the generous support of our founders and the community, we continue to thrive as a no-kill shelter committed to our forever home.

How We Help

As a no-kill organization, we provide a safe harbor for homeless animals while working to minimize pet overpopulation through our low-cost spay and neuter clinics. We operate as a facility-based shelter, and each year we are proud to help between 800 and 1,000 homeless dogs, cats, and kittens find their way into loving forever homes. By prioritizing both medical support and shelter, we ensure every animal in our care receives the attention they deserve.
