Founded in 1927 by the pioneering Elsie Seeger Barton, our organization began as a refuge on her family estate. For nearly a century, we have remained a steadfast partner to our community, evolving from a small sanctuary into a comprehensive resource that provides shelter, low-cost veterinary care, and even a peaceful memorial park for beloved companions.

Today, we operate a dedicated sheltering facility in Reisterstown where we care for dogs, cats, rabbits, and other small mammals.
