Our Mission
At Paws and Claws Humane Society, we are dedicated to providing humane protection and shelter for abandoned or lost companion animals. We advocate for the well-being of our furry friends while striving to find them loving, permanent homes.
Our History
Founded in 1976 by Marge Mourning, our organization began as a volunteer-led effort to find homes for unwanted animals. Over the decades, we have grown from a foster-based network into a professional facility in Rochester, Minnesota, reaching the milestone of over 1,300 adoptions per year as of 2018.
How We Care
As a 501(c)(3) non-profit, we rely on the support of our generous community to provide comprehensive care for our animals. Each resident receives veterinary attention, vaccinations, and is altered prior to adoption to ensure they are healthy and ready for their new family.
