Adopt-A-Pet, Inc. is a nonprofit animal center in Fenton, Michigan, dedicated to placing adoptable animals into loving, appropriate homes. We strive to reduce shelter overcrowding while prioritizing the physical and mental well-being of every animal in our care.

Our History and Commitment

Founded in 1978 by Judy Neuwirth and Sue Lucas, our organization began with a simple goal: to find homes for homeless animals. Today, we continue that legacy by assisting the community, educating the public on responsible pet care, and working to ensure that one day, no animal will be without a loving family.

A State-of-the-Art Sanctuary

Our facility in Fenton was thoughtfully designed to provide the highest level of care. With eight acres featuring spacious play areas, an agility course, and specialized environments like catios and climate-controlled buildings, we ensure our residents have the stimulation they deserve. Beyond our center, our dedicated network of volunteers and foster homes plays a vital role in our daily operations.
