Tender Loving Cats, Inc. is a dedicated, all-volunteer 501(c)(3) no-kill rescue committed to saving the injured, rescuing the mistreated, and loving the abandoned. Our mission is to transform the lives of community cats across Long Island, one life at a time.
Our Story and Our Mission
Founded in January 2017, our organization was created to address the critical need for medical care and safety for homeless cats when local shelters are at capacity. We focus on reducing the community cat population through compassionate Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) initiatives and dedicated rehabilitation efforts for cats and kittens in need of forever homes.
A Foster-Based Foundation
We believe that every cat deserves a comfortable environment while waiting for their perfect match. Our organization operates primarily as a foster-based rescue, where our cats receive individual love and care in volunteers' homes until they are ready for adoption. Additionally, we are proud to host adoption centers at PetSmart North and West Babylon, providing more opportunities for our feline friends to meet their new families.
