Our Mission
The Sanctuary for Senior Dogs is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the rescue, adoption, and lifelong care of senior dogs abandoned in shelters and pounds. We believe that every old dog deserves a place in the sun and a life filled with hope, love, and dignity.
Why We Help
Since 2013, we have focused on protecting and defending abandoned senior dogs who have so much joy to give. We recognize that people are the solution to the challenges these dogs face, and we honor the community of supporters who make our life-saving work possible.
How We Operate
We believe in a compassionate, home-based approach. Rather than housing dogs in a traditional shelter, our senior dogs live in Sanctuary-approved foster homes where they receive dedicated care and affection. For dogs who are too ill or emotionally fragile to be adopted, our Forever Fosters program ensures they remain in a loving hospice environment for the rest of their lives.
