Newberg Animal Shelter Friends is dedicated to connecting homeless pets with their forever homes by providing a compassionate, nurturing environment. We partner with our community to ensure every companion animal receives the care, respect, and love they deserve.
Our Story and Community
Our journey began in 1976, and for over four decades, we have evolved to meet the changing needs of Newberg and Dundee. Today, Newberg Animal Shelter Friends—a 501(c)(3) non-profit—operates the shelter, having purchased our own facility in 2018 to secure a permanent home for the animals we serve.
How We Care
As a no-kill animal shelter, we prioritize the health and wellbeing of every pet in our care. Our facility is a place of comfort where we provide medical attention, enrichment, and behavioral support to every animal while they wait for their new families. Through strong partnerships with local volunteers and the community, we act as a force of strength for animal welfare.
