Columbus Dog Connection is a community-focused organization committed to improving the lives of dogs and cats through rescue, adoption, and vital veterinary outreach. We work tirelessly to ensure every animal receives the love, medical care, and second chance they truly deserve.
Founded in 1998 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we have spent over 25 years addressing the root causes of pet overpopulation across Ohio. From our early days launching pet resource websites to co-authoring the Ohio Puppy Mill Bill, we have evolved to provide a comprehensive range of services that keep pets happy and healthy.
We are a limited-admission, foster-based rescue, which allows us to provide a safe and stable environment for our animals until they find their perfect matches. While we operate an office that serves as a home for some of our cats, our dogs and the majority of our cats live in loving foster care, receiving individualized attention and preparation for life in their forever homes.
Adopting a pet is a life-changing decision, and we take pride in our thoughtful, personalized approach to matching animals with their new families. By getting to know our residents, we ensure a successful and joyful transition for both the pet and the adopter, creating lasting bonds that enrich lives.
