As Kentucky’s oldest animal welfare organization, founded in 1884, we have spent over a century working to ensure every companion animal receives the care and resources they deserve. How We Care

We are a private, nonprofit organization committed to saving every healthy, behaviorally sound animal that comes through our doors, without time limits on their stay. Our dedicated team provides comprehensive medical care, including spaying or neutering and vaccinations, while our programs—like the S.N.I.P. Clinic and mobile veterinary services—work to end pet overpopulation. Every animal in our care is treated with compassion as we prepare them for their forever families.
