The SPCA of Tompkins County is dedicated to protecting companion animals and finding every pet a loving home. As a no-kill shelter located in Ithaca, NY, we work tirelessly to prevent animal cruelty and overpopulation while fostering the joy of pet ownership.

How We Care for Our Animals
At our facility on Hanshaw Road, our dedicated staff and over 250 annual volunteers work together to rehabilitate, train, and socialize the animals in our care. By providing veterinary support and enrichment, we ensure every animal is happy and healthy while they wait to meet their new family. We take in and find homes for nearly 2,000 animals each year, relying on this compassionate, hands-on approach.
