The Escambia County Animal Shelter is dedicated to working in partnership with our community to create a safe, healthy, and caring environment for both citizens and animals. We believe that every pet deserves a loving home and a chance to thrive.
Our work is rooted in a commitment to promoting citizen safety, responsible pet ownership, and effective education aimed at reducing animal overpopulation. By serving the residents of Escambia County and the City of Pensacola, we strive to enhance the quality of life for all members of our community.
Located at 200 W. Fairfield Drive, our facility serves as a hub of activity where we provide temporary care for approximately 300 animals at any given time. Beyond our shelter walls, our vital network of foster volunteers helps us provide specialized care, such as bottle-feeding for kittens and puppies or medical support for those needing extra healing before finding their forever families.
Finding your new best friend is a joyful experience, and we are here to help you make the perfect match. Whether you are interested in visiting our cat rooms or meeting our dogs in a play yard, our team is ready to guide you through the process, including sharing medical history and ensuring a smooth transition to your home. We celebrate every successful adoption as a step toward a brighter future for these deserving animals.
Your new companion is waiting to meet you! We invite you to view our currently available pets on 24PetConnect or stop by our facility during operating hours to get acquainted. If you are unable to adopt right now, we always welcome new volunteers and fosters to help us continue this essential work in our community.
