At Shadow Husky Rescue, Inc., we are dedicated to providing a second chance at life for displaced, unwanted, or abandoned Siberian Huskies. We believe in the power of rescue, as our founder Tim McVicker says: We can’t save them all, but the one you do save can change your life forever!
Our Journey
Our organization is rooted in a lifelong passion for animal welfare, sparked by founder Tim McVicker's early experiences with rescued dogs. In 2006, Tim rescued his own soulmate, a Siberian Husky named Shadow, whose legacy continues through the mission of this rescue. Today, we are a non-profit group of professionals and volunteers united by our commitment to these remarkable animals.
How We Operate
We are a strictly foster-based rescue, which means our dogs thrive in loving, temporary homes rather than a kennel facility. This model allows us to provide each husky with the individualized care, medical attention, and support they need while they wait for their permanent placement. Our team works hard to advocate for public safety and educate the community on the rewarding experience of welcoming a husky into their home.
