Who is PAWS?
PAWS is people helping cats, dogs, and wild animals go home and thrive, whether that home is the family room or the forest. We are dedicated to rehabilitating orphaned and injured wildlife, sheltering and adopting homeless pets, and educating our community to inspire compassionate action for all living beings.
Our Story and Purpose
Since 1967, PAWS has been a champion for animals, born from a simple desire to help those left behind without a voice. Over the decades, we have united more than 170,000 companion animals with loving families and provided lifesaving care to over 160,000 wild animals. We believe that when people and animals thrive together, we create a better world for everyone.
How We Care
We operate three distinct facilities across Washington State to provide specialized care: our Companion Animal Shelter in Lynnwood, our satellite Cat City adoption center in Seattle, and our dedicated Wildlife Rehabilitation Center in Snohomish. Our expert staff and compassionate volunteers work tirelessly every day to ensure every animal in our care receives the medical attention, comfort, and safety they deserve while they await their second chance.
