The Boyd County Animal Control and Shelter is dedicated to safeguarding public health and safety while providing humane, compassionate care to every animal in our charge. We strive to protect our community's pets from abuse and serve as a reliable resource for responsible pet ownership.
Who We Are
Established by the Boyd County Fiscal Court, our shelter operates in accordance with Kentucky Revised Statutes to serve the residents of our county. We believe in building a safer community through proactive education, offering guidance on responsible care, and promoting the benefits of spay and neuter programs.
Our Care
We are committed to the health and well-being of the animals that pass through our facility. Our team works hard to provide a safe, humane environment for every resident, and we are proud to support an active foster program to help our animals thrive until they find their perfect homes. Donations are always welcome and go directly toward our animal health and spay/neuter initiatives.
