Established in 1999 by a group of local animal advocates, our organization has grown from humble beginnings in a farmhouse to our dedicated facility on Barber Greene Road in DeKalb. We serve as a vital resource for our community, offering not just a safe haven for displaced pets, but also affordable services like our spay/neuter clinic and positive reinforcement training to support long-term pet-owner happiness.

As a managed admission shelter, we prioritize the individual needs of every animal in our care, ensuring each has the best chance at a successful adoption.
