The Bannock Humane Society is dedicated to fostering animals until they find their perfect permanent homes, while working to reduce the number of unwanted pets through low-cost spay and neuter services. We strive to provide emergency care for those in need, offer vital pet food support, and educate our community on responsible pet guardianship.
Built by Community, Driven by Heart
Since 1971, we have operated as an independent, non-profit organization serving our area. We built our facility at 850 Barton Road in 2001 with the help of generous community donations and our dedicated members. We operate entirely through private support, ensuring every dollar goes directly toward the welfare of the animals we serve.

The Bannock Humane Society operates primarily as a foster-based organization, meaning our animals receive personalized care and socialization in home environments rather than a traditional shelter setting. By partnering with local veterinarians, we ensure every animal in our care receives essential medical treatment, including spay or neuter surgery and age-appropriate vaccinations. This unique model allows us to better understand each pet's personality and needs, setting them up for a successful transition into your home.

POCATELLO — Several animal welfare groups are coming together to hold a fundraiser that will include games, a raffle and the first-ever Pet Gala for people to bring their dogs.
