Pet Central Helps! is dedicated to supporting our community through example and action by upholding the highest standards in progressive animal sheltering. We strive to provide education and support to pets and people so that they can stay healthy and remain together.
Our Story and Commitment
Founded in 2016, we have grown organically to become a leader in Central Illinois animal welfare. We believe that financial circumstances should never be a barrier to love, and that strong bonds between people and their pets create healthier, more vibrant communities.
How We Care
We operate as a foster-based organization, emphasizing the importance of home environments for our animals while they wait for their forever families. By maintaining a tight budget and utilizing a dedicated network of foster homes, we are able to provide in-house veterinary care and personal attention to over 2,200 animals each year.

We focus on a non-judgmental, helpful approach to matching you with your perfect companion, guided by our core values to educate, encourage, and enable. Whether you are looking for a young playmate or a seasoned friend through our Paws for Seniors program, our staff is here to make the process smooth, professional, and joyful.
