Our History and Mission
Our organization operates the Carl Nettifee Memorial Animal Shelter, which was constructed in honor of Carl Nettifee, a local animal control officer who championed the welfare of stray and homeless animals. We are proud to carry on his legacy by providing a caring environment for those who need it most, ensuring they are treated with the respect and kindness they deserve.
How We Care for Our Animals
As the primary facility for stray animals in our area, our shelter is a hub of activity where we provide essential veterinary care, including vaccinations, spay or neuter services, and health screenings. While we serve as the local impound, we also welcome owner surrenders when space allows, ensuring that every animal receives the attention they need while awaiting their forever family. Our dedicated team of volunteers and staff works around the clock to maintain a clean and comforting environment for every resident.
