The Naperville Area Humane Society is dedicated to promoting the humane treatment of companion animals and creating lasting human-animal bonds. We strive to engage people to compassionately and responsibly create a more humane world through our work in the western suburbs of Chicago.
Our journey began in 1979 when a small group of caring citizens gathered to provide a safe, secure place for lost and unwanted animals. Over the decades, we have grown from a modest volunteer-led effort into a professional, 8,150-square-foot facility, serving thousands of animals and continuing our legacy of compassion and community support.
As a 501(c)3 nonprofit limited-admission shelter, we ensure that every animal in our care is treated with the dignity they deserve. Our highly trained staff and volunteers provide compassionate care, including medical exams, vaccinations, and spay/neuter services, while offering a welcoming environment designed to minimize stress until each pet finds their forever home.
We believe that every adoption is the start of a beautiful partnership. Our team works diligently to understand the unique needs of every dog and cat, ensuring we make the best possible match between our animals and their new families. We are proud to facilitate these life-changing connections that bring joy to both people and pets.
Are you ready to welcome a new companion into your life? We invite you to explore our available dogs and cats online or contact us at (630) 420-8989 to schedule a visit at our Diehl Road facility.
