Multnomah County Animal Services is dedicated to protecting the health, safety, and welfare of both people and pets throughout our community. We strive to provide humane shelter, veterinary care, and compassionate support for every animal that comes through our doors.
Who We Are
As the county’s sole public animal shelter, we serve Portland, Gresham, Troutdale, Fairview, Wood Village, Maywood Park, and unincorporated areas. We are a proud founding member of the Animal Shelter Alliance of Portland, working collaboratively to ensure positive outcomes for our community's pets.
How We Care
Our shelter in Troutdale is a hub of activity where we provide dedicated care for lost, homeless, and abandoned animals. We are also committed to a robust foster program, allowing many pets to receive individualized attention and a comfortable environment while they wait for their forever homes.
