Our Mission
The Shelter of Hope is a dedicated no-kill shelter providing the best care possible to companion animals until they are adopted into loving, forever homes. We strive to create a community in the Finger Lakes region where all animals can thrive without need or want.
Who We Are
As a private 501(c)3 organization, we serve as a vital refuge for animals in need. We are deeply committed to transparency and compassion, boasting an impressive 98.9% live release rate in 2025 as we work to support both our community and our furry residents.
Our Care Model
At our facility on Route 14A, we prioritize the health and wellbeing of every animal through comprehensive medical care, including spaying, neutering, vaccinations, and microchipping. When a pet isn't quite ready for a home—perhaps because they are too young or need specialized recovery—we rely on our dedicated foster networks to provide a safe, nurturing environment until they are ready to meet their new family.
