Our Mission
At the Yadkin County Animal Shelter, we are dedicated to the health and well-being of every dog and cat entrusted to our care. We work every day to facilitate successful adoptions and connect animals with their loving forever families.
Our History and Community
Since opening our doors in 2005, we have served as a vital community resource for Yadkin County. Our primary goal is always to reunite lost pets with their owners, while also providing education and outreach to promote responsible pet ownership.
Providing Compassionate Care
Our facility is designed to support our residents, featuring 21 dog kennels, three outdoor kennels, and 21 cat kennels. We also maintain a special Catty Shack for our feline friends and a dedicated isolation area to ensure every animal receives the specific health care they need. Beyond our physical space, we rely on a wonderful foster program to provide extra care for young, sick, or injured animals in a home setting until they are ready for adoption.

We invite you to visit our facility at 1027 Speaks Street in Yadkinville, Monday through Friday, from 10 am to 4 pm.
