The Sally Wetherbee Adoption Center is dedicated to the welfare of animals who cannot speak for themselves. We strive to provide compassionate care, helping every animal find their perfect forever home.

Our Journey and Vision

Established in 2015 as an expansion of the Albany Humane Society, our center serves as a state-of-the-art facility to help our community pets. By providing a dedicated space for adoptions, we have significantly increased our live release rate, marking a vital step in our ongoing commitment to being a no-kill shelter.

Providing Comfort and Care

We operate as an extension of the Albany Humane Society, housing up to 16 dogs and 18 cats at a time in a specialized environment. Our canine companions enjoy climate-controlled kennels and soft Kuranda beds, while our feline residents have access to open rooms designed for lounging and outdoor viewing. These spaces allow us to provide high-quality enrichment while waiting for the right families to visit.
