Our journey began in 1891, when a group of trailblazing local women united to protect and shelter injured and abandoned animals. For over 122 years, this community-driven spirit has guided us as we grow, evolve, and continue to serve as a voice for those who cannot speak for themselves.
How We Care
Operating as a private, non-profit 501(c)3, we focus our energy on humane law enforcement, public education, and providing low-cost spay and neuter programs to address pet overpopulation. Our dedicated team of volunteers and staff works tirelessly to provide professional care, always putting the wellbeing of our animals first in every decision we make.
