The mission of Warren County Animal Control is to protect and promote the health, safety, and welfare of our human and animal communities through compassionate law enforcement, education, and animal facilitation. We are dedicated to creating a safer, more humane environment for all living creatures.
Operating as a primary resource for our region, our department works alongside the Animal Ark to provide essential services to citizens and their pets. We strive to promote responsible pet ownership while treating everyone—people and animals alike—with fairness, compassion, and professional care.
Our shelter, the Animal Ark, serves as a hub for adoptions, reuniting lost pets with owners, and providing vital community services like low-cost vaccinations and spay/neuter resources. While our animals come to us as strays or unwanted surrenders, our dedicated staff and volunteers work hard to provide daily care, socialization, and medical support. From our bottle-feeding program for young kittens and puppies to our daily shelter operations, we ensure every animal is treated with the dignity they deserve.
Adopting from the Animal Ark is a joyful partnership that transforms lives. We take the time to learn about each animal's unique temperament and health status, helping potential adopters make informed decisions that ensure a perfect match. By adopting, you aren't just giving an animal a home; you are becoming an essential part of the solution to pet overpopulation.
Are you ready to find your new companion? We invite you to visit the Animal Ark Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., to meet the wonderful animals currently waiting for their forever homes. Whether you are looking to adopt, volunteer your time, or simply learn more about our services, we look forward to welcoming you to our community.
