The Heber Springs Humane Society is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming of homeless animals in Cleburne County, Arkansas. We strive to provide food, shelter, medical care, and boundless love to every animal in need until they find their perfect forever home.

Since our founding in 1980, we have been committed to promoting the humane and ethical treatment of all animals in the Heber Springs area. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we rely entirely on the generosity of our donors to continue our lifesaving work.

We are proud to operate as a no-kill shelter, ensuring that every animal receives the time and care they deserve. Our facility at 49 Shelter Lane serves as a safe haven where our volunteers provide daily care, socialization, and enrichment for our dogs and cats.

To ensure the best fit, we manage all adoptions on an appointment-only basis, allowing you dedicated time to meet your potential companion and even check for compatibility with your existing dogs. Our volunteers are here to guide you through the process, from application to your exciting 'Gotcha Day.'
