Welcome to the Animal Friends Rescue Project (AFRP)! Founded in 1998, we are a dedicated nonprofit organization located in Pacific Grove, California, with the mission to change lives, one animal at a time. Our heartfelt goal is to find loving, permanent homes for abandoned, stray, and abused companion animals while actively working to end the pet overpopulation crisis through focused spay and neuter programs. At AFRP, we believe in the power of community and collaboration. We work hand-in-hand with local animal shelters and our compassionate volunteers to identify and rescue the most vulnerable animals in need, including those requiring urgent medical care, underage puppies and kittens, and pets that need extra time to adjust before finding their forever homes.
