Our Mission
The Milwaukee Area Domestic Animal Control Commission (MADACC) is dedicated to providing essential animal regulation and care services that protect the health, public safety, and welfare of people and animals throughout Milwaukee County. We strive to provide a safe, compassionate environment for every animal that comes through our doors.
Who We Are
Established in 1999, MADACC serves nineteen municipalities across Milwaukee County. Our agency was created through a collaborative intergovernmental effort to provide a cost-effective, central resource where residents can find lost pets and access professional animal care services.
Our Care Model
As an open-admission facility, we provide a temporary sanctuary for stray, abandoned, and injured animals, offering essential veterinary and humane care. We utilize both our facility and an extensive foster network to provide the best possible start for our animals. Our foster program is a vital lifeline that helps shy, young, or recovering animals thrive in a home environment before joining their forever families.
