Priest River Animal Rescue is a dedicated 501(c)(3) non-profit, no-kill organization committed to helping dogs and cats in need through compassionate sheltering, education, community outreach, and successful adoptions.
Since our inception in 2002, we have served as a vital resource for animal welfare across Bonner County, Idaho, and Pend Oreille County, Washington. Operating independently without government funding, we rely on the support of our Critters Thrift Store, community fundraisers, and private philanthropy to sustain our life-saving work.
We provide a nurturing environment that includes medical care, vaccinations, and microchipping for every animal in our custody. Our facility features engaging cat and dog enrichment programs, and we rely on a dedicated team of fosters to provide special care for kittens, puppies, and orphaned bottle babies until they are ready to find their forever homes.
Adopting a pet is a beautiful, lifelong commitment that brings joy and affection to your family. We are here to help you find the perfect match, ensuring that our animals are placed into environments where they will receive the time, attention, and love they truly deserve.
Whether you are looking to adopt, volunteer, or contribute to our new facility, there are many ways to get involved and make a lasting impact. Please visit our website to view our current pets, learn about our programs, or stop by our location on Highway 2 to meet your future companion today.
