Since our founding in 1931, the Animal Protective Foundation has served as a cornerstone of the community, committed to animal welfare. Over these nine decades, we have evolved from a small shelter into a comprehensive resource that provides shelter, medical care, and a second chance at life to approximately 5,000 animals each year.

We operate an open-admission shelter where we address the physical, emotional, and medical needs of every animal in our care. Our approach is centered on three core principles: protect, care, and connect. We provide a safe, nurturing environment where our staff and volunteers go the extra mile to understand each animal's unique personality.
