Border Animal Rescue is dedicated to reducing animal overpopulation through spay and neuter programs while rescuing, rehabilitating, and re-homing unwanted pets. We are committed to promoting the health and humane treatment of all animals across Cochise County.
Our journey began in 1998 when a small group of residents in Bisbee, Arizona, recognized that local shelters needed extra help getting animals noticed and adopted. Since then, we have worked tirelessly to bridge the gap for abandoned pets, developing meaningful relationships with local animal control to ensure more animals find their way to safety.
Because we do not have a physical facility, we operate as a dedicated foster-based organization. Our animals live in the warm, supportive homes of our volunteers, where they receive personalized care, socialization, and any necessary medical attention until they are ready to meet their new families.
Adopting is about more than just bringing home a pet; it is about saving a life and gaining a lifelong companion. By providing medical care, vaccinations, and spay/neuter services for every pet in our care, we strive to make the transition into your home as smooth and joyful as possible.
We invite you to help us give these deserving animals the second chances they deserve. You can explore our Adoptable Pets page to find your new best friend, learn more about our volunteer opportunities, or reach out to us at borderanimalrescue@gmail.com to see how you can make a difference. Together, we can continue to create happy tales for every animal in Cochise County.
