CNY SNAP is a grassroots, non-profit organization dedicated to creating a positive impact in our community by addressing cat and dog overpopulation and finding loving forever homes for cats and kittens.
Founded in 2005, our volunteer-run 501(c)(3) organization has remained committed to serving Central New York for nearly two decades. We address the community need for affordable spay/neuter services, having successfully assisted in the sterilization of more than 58,000 animals since our inception.
We are an entirely volunteer-run organization operating out of our Cortland shelter and in partnership with the PetSmart in DeWitt, New York. Beyond our adoption program, we provide low-cost spay/neuter and vaccination clinics to ensure that local pets—and the people who care for them—receive the support they need to thrive.
We believe that every cat deserves a home that matches their unique needs, which is why we take a thoughtful approach to our adoption process. By reviewing applications and facilitating conversations with our coordinators, we ensure every pet finds a compatible family where they can flourish. All our cats and kittens are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, tested for FeLV/FIV, and microchipped before joining their new families.
Are you ready to meet your new best friend or support our cause?
