Our mission is to find loving, forever homes for unwanted, abandoned, and homeless dogs in Caldwell County, NC. We are committed to creating a community where every dog is cherished and every home is filled with love.
Founded as Pet Partners Network in 2008 by the late Judy Cary, Foothills Canine Rescue has grown from a foster-based rescue into a robust community resource. In 2022, we opened the Bunch Anderson Life-Saving Shelter to provide a dedicated space for our dogs as they await their perfect matches.
As a 100% volunteer-run organization, we operate through a blend of dedicated foster homes and our central shelter facility in Lenoir. Our work is supported by the generous proceeds from our Waggin’ Tail Resale & Marketplace, helping us provide medical care, rehabilitation, and stability to hundreds of dogs each year.
We believe in the power of the human-animal bond and strive to make thoughtful, successful placements for every dog in our care. Our adoption process is designed to help you find a loyal companion while providing the support needed to ensure a smooth transition into your family.
Whether you are looking to adopt, volunteer, or support our new surgical facility project, we invite you to be a part of our story. Visit our website to browse our adoptable dogs, sign up for our newsletter, or stop by our adoption center to meet your new best friend today.
