Welcome to the Animal C.A.R.E. Foundation 501c3! We are a dedicated animal welfare organization located in Winston Salem, NC, passionately committed to improving the lives of animals in our community. As a 100% volunteer-based organization, we rely on the kindness and support of our volunteers to carry out our mission of rescue and advocacy. Our core values emphasize compassion and responsible pet ownership. We believe in seeing beyond the surface—finding beauty in all creatures, regardless of their past. Our mission is not only to rescue animals from dire situations, but also to educate our community on best practices for animal care. At the Animal C.A.R.E. Foundation, we focus on helping animals in distress, regardless of their age, breed, or ease of placement. We work closely with local animal control and shelters to offer a lifeline to pets at risk of euthanasia or those in need of new homes due to owner surrender. Every dollar of our funding goes directly to the care of animals, allowing us to maintain extremely low administrative costs. We proudly operate a low-cost Spay-Neuter Transport program and provide financial assistance for sick or injured pets. Our Thrifty Finds thrift store contributes to our mission, with all proceeds helping animals in need. Through community engagement and education, we strive to create a supportive network of advocates for animal welfare.
