Our Roots in the Community
Founded in 1994 by a dedicated group of volunteers, we have grown from a small grassroots effort into a nationally recognized non-profit organization. We serve as the primary animal rescue force for the Town of Truckee and Eastern Placer County, acting as a vital resource for the residents and animals of our region.
A Commitment to Care
Our operations are powered by a talented team of employees and hundreds of committed volunteers who ensure every animal receives the love and support they deserve. Before finding their forever families, our animals receive medical care including vaccinations, testing, and spay or neuter surgery. We are proud to maintain an open-door policy for the pets we place, ensuring they are always supported throughout their lives.
