Welcome to Last Hope Inc., where our mission is to rescue, care for, and find forever homes for abandoned, unwanted, and surrendered cats and dogs. Established in 1984, we proudly serve the Minnesota communities from our headquarters in Farmington. As a volunteer-based, 501(c)3 non-profit organization, we have dedicated the past 40 years to saving lives—resulting in the successful adoption of over 45,000 animals.
At Last Hope, we believe every animal deserves a chance. Our commitment to the No-Kill movement reflects our core values—we do not support the destruction of healthy pets. Instead, our focus is on providing immediate veterinary care to all animals in our care, ensuring they receive the necessary treatment and love until they find their lifelong families.
Our animals are placed in loving foster homes throughout the Minneapolis-St. Paul metro area, where volunteers nurture and rehabilitate them, preparing them for adoption. Each pet available for adoption is spayed or neutered, further contributing to the vital mission of promoting responsible pet ownership and helping to end the overpopulation crisis.
We invite you to get involved—whether by adopting a loving companion, fostering an animal in need, or volunteering your time and skills. Your support makes a significant impact and enables us to continue our work for the welfare of animals. Join the Last Hope family and help us give hope to those who need it the most!
