Animal Rescue of Fresno (ARF) is dedicated to saving homeless dogs by providing them with a second chance at a loving, forever home. We believe every dog deserves a life filled with care, safety, and companionship.

Our Story

Established in 1998, ARF was born from the passion of community members in Fresno, California, who were determined to protect homeless dogs. What began in a small facility on Belmont Avenue has grown significantly, allowing us to rescue more dogs each year and move into our current dedicated facility on Dakota Avenue in 2005.

ARF is a volunteer-managed and operated organization committed to the highest standards of animal welfare. We operate by appointment only to ensure each dog receives the focused, individual attention they need while awaiting their perfect match. Our team works tirelessly to prepare our rescues for their next chapter in a nurturing environment.
